Living InHaines City
Haines City is the third largest city in Polk County and part of the Lakeland - Winter Haven Metropolitain area. This is truly "Central Florida" almost equidistant to the beaches on the east and west coasts. Haines city is home to the citrus industry and the IRONMAN 70.3 Traithlon. A popular recreation area is Lake Eva Park, a grassy lakeside park with playgrounds, sport courts and an aquatic center. Haines City has a small town, friendly feel with easy access to Orlando theme parks and big city attractions. Everyday needs are right in town - Publix and Winn Dixie Supermarkets, drug stores and Lowes. Other big box stores are close by in Davenport and Lake Wales. The terrain of Haines City is particularly unusual for Florida. It is part of the Lake Wales Ridge offering gently rolling hills rising from coastal flatlands. The Orlando International Airport is a 45-minute drive for an easy commute for air travel anywhere in the world.
